Correctly connecting the bilge pump wire will enable Boat Monitor to detect when the bilge pump is running, show activity in the app, and receive bilge pump alerts when the pump activates.
Before installation, you should identify the type of bilge pump that is installed in the boat. There are two types of bilge pump systems:
- Automatic pumps with built-in level switch and three wires connected to the pump
- Manual pumps with external level switch and two wires connected to the pump
1. Automatic pumps with built-in level switch should be connected according to the following diagram:

2. Manual pumps with external level switch:
For manual pumps with external level switch the Boat Monitor bilge pump connection should be connected to the wire that runs from the level switch to the pump. In most cases, the manual bilge pump operation switch is connected to the same wire.
